What's New?
The Simpsons Are Coming to Universal Studios®
Universal Studios® is adding animated fun and excitement as FOX’s blockbuster hit series, 'The Simpsons', becomes the inspiration for the world’s most highly anticipated new theme park ride. Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson will ride along with guests in a new attraction opening in Spring 2008.
Guests will be rocketed along with the Simpson family on a hysterical, almost unimaginable adventure. They’ll experience a side of Springfield previously unexplored as they enjoy the new ride’s interpretation of thrill rides, dark rides and “live” shows that make up a new fantasy amusement park dreamed up by the show’s cantankerous Krusty the Clown.
Universal’s award-winning creative team is collaborating with 'The Simpsons' Creator and Executive Producer Matt Groening and Executive Producer James L. Brooks to create and open the first-ever attraction based on the TV series.
"The ride is designed to duplicate the Simpsons home-viewing experience, only at high speed and with lots of screaming," stated Matt Groening.“I am particularly thrilled since, like most people, I'm forever looking for a way to cut the line at Universal Theme Parks,” added James L. Brooks.
Aquatica™
SeaWorld’s whimsical, one-of-a-kind waterpark Aquatica™ is now open. You’ll find rides from relaxing to exhilarating, a huge play area, especially for the little ones and even the closest Orlando has to it’s own beach! The signature ride is Dolphin Plunge, which will send you speeding through one of two 300 foot long clear tubes which take you through the Commerson’s dolphin habitat. To get an altogether different view, the relaxing river will take you floating past the stunning fish grotto and give you an underwater view of the Commerson’s dolphin habitat too. The more adventurous river will send you shooting past geysers and through waterfalls. Take a dip in one of Aquatica’s two wave pools and experience gently lapping surf or 5 foot high waves! The fun at Aquatica is as endless as the sea.
Jungala
Jungala is situated in the Congo area of Busch Gardens® Tampa Bay. Here you’ll find two of the world’s most endangered animals,
